About

Over the past 12 years I have blended my doula, coaching and childbirth education skills with my birth work passion.  Women and their families deserve to be treated with utmost respect and care as they wade through the tumult of opinions, beliefs and practices in this culture as they prepare for birth.  Sadly positive and quality support does not always happen.  Finding a happy balance between trusting and knowing your innate self and being savvy about the birth culture we live in can be a daunting task to face on your own.

As your doula, your life coach and your personal childbirth educator, I work with you to help you define what is important to you in your journey to parenthood.  Together we can find out what your best options are and how to bring them together in your birth and parenting preparation.  A great quote by Gail Peterson is ‘As you live so you will give birth’.  I take this to mean that how you live your life needs to reflect what you want to get out of it.  If you learn, practice, trust and embrace the changes and the challenges you are facing now you will bring satisfaction and wellbeing into your birth and parenting experience.  My hope would be to enable the best part of you to be expressed through this process.

More recently I have specialised further with offering caring support and thorough exploration of many factors involved with women birthing after a prior caesarean.

Through individual sessions, attendance at your birth, peer group support or workshops I offer:

• Life coaching

• Childbirth education & preparation (physical, emotional, practical)

• Birth Attendance/Birth Doula

• Hypnobirthing skills and NLP techniques

• Post birth debriefing

• Vaginal Birth After Caesarean (VBAC) support

• VBAC Workshops

• Choices in childbirth

• Advocacy

• Referrals to community resources

• Birth talk program for teenagers (schools/community)

• Peer support group
